The Space Show Website &Archives Modernization Project Update

Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015

We have two days remaining in our campaign and we are practically at our goal. 96 Space Show supporters have spoken with their actions and supported our project. Let’s make it 100 before the campaign ends at midnight on Sept. 8, 2015. We still have really cool perks remaining including one more copy of Professor Haym Benaroya’s classic, “Turning Dust Into Gold: Building A Future On The Moon and Mars.” In addition, there is still time to become a Space Show sponsor with your banner going across our newly designed home page plus your short message read on every Space Show program. And for those of you just dying to share your space thoughts with the rest of us, Listener Voices is the opportunity of a lifetime. When our campaign ends, so does the opportunity to co-host two Space Show programs during the year, be a guest on the show, or host a show of your own making including the topic and the guest. Specially designed logo items await you as well with a logo only available for this campaign. Visit our campaign site to see all the incentives awaiting your choice and participation.

The Space Show has heard from many listeners with their verbal commitments for a specific perk. Now’s the time to jump on board as we have just two days remaining for the campaign, today and tomorrow, Monday, Sept. 7. We even have one commitment for a thousand dollar contribution leaving just $153 needed as of the time I am writing this message. But we have the remaining time & the incentive opportunities too meet our goal and then some, all with your help and support.

I am looking forward to the new website design, finally having the searchable data base for the archives, and the broadening of the use of our blog, something that is a real need for the future of The Space Show. Just how cool will it be to have the blog integrated into the website, the use of the very high quality Disqus program for comments, and the opportunity to comment on shows live as they are in progress, plus of course once the shows hit the archives.

Yes, we are in the final two days of the campaign and we definitely need and want your support. Don’t forget to help us spread the word through your social network. We can’t let down our effort during these final two days. For the fence sitters out there, there is no more time to sit. The time to act is now. Come on, help us meet our goal and then some. Remember, in addition to the incentive perks, your contributions to The Space Show may be tax deductible for you as we are a 501C3 nonprofit and a California Public Benefit Corporation. Check with your own tax advisor to see how this feature works for you.

A very special thanks to all 96 of you who have supported us so far. We of The Space Show/OGLF campaign and design team very much appreciate your joining with us to modernize these key elements of The Space Show program. We certainly look forward to honoring each you on our new website.

Dr. Space
